IMPORTANT NOTES #
- Your policy number is the same as your insurance card number.
- OSHC is effective from the date the student is granted or extends a Subclass 500 Student Visa. If the student does not yet hold a student visa, no coverage or claims are accepted.
- Students must have a valid visa to activate their account.
- If the student holds a dependent visa, they must be covered under the policy of the main visa holder.
- Keep boarding passes (in English) when flying from home country and when leaving Australia, for possible OSHC refund requests.
- On a Bridging Visa without previous student visa? You are not eligible for OSHC — consider OVHC instead.
- For any expected visa changes, contact Annalink’s partner promptly.

4. Processing times #
Processing times vary depending on the service you’re claiming for.
Most claims for doctor appointments are processed within 5 business days. Hospital claims (including outpatient visits) are usually processed within 7-14 days.
5. Bank details #
You need to provide the details of your Australian bank account when you submit a claim. We cannot transfer money into an overseas bank account. Once your claim is processed, any refunded amount will be paid directly into this account.
6. Maintaining Your Coverage #
- Your OSHC must cover your entire student visa period.
- Renew before expiry to avoid a gap in coverage that could affect your visa.
- If you change your visa type, contact Annalink’s Partner to update your policy accordingly.
